Areas of Expertise

Sarah works primarily with children, youth, and parents. She offers both individual and family counseling. She has extensive experience with social skills, foster care, adoption, and abuse/trauma related issues. She is also comfortable working with a wide range of  other issues, including anxiety/stress, depression, work conflicts, grief and loss, and spiritual/faith concerns.

Personal Information and Therapy Style

Sarah received a Masters of Social Work with a specialization in children, youth, and families from USC in Los Angeles in 2006. Sarah moved to Washington in 2010 and fell in love with the PNW. Sarah began working in a church family ministry context in 2014 and obtained her Masters of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2021. Sarah is also an ordained minister in the ECO Presbyterian Church.

Sarah provides a safe space to process and a strength-based and mindful approach that examines what’s working for you and what needs adjusting. In working with children and youth she enjoys utilizing art and play therapy as a processing tool. Sarah enjoys equipping parents and their children with coping skills that will help them identify and achieve their goals as well as be better prepared for future stressors and transitions. Clinical approaches that Sarah may pull from in the counseling process may include cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, attachment-based, breathwork, family systems, play therapy, coaching, and a strengths-based approach.
