Personal Information and Therapy Style: Brenda has been a practicing therapist and educator since 1975. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Evergreen State College in 1975 and her Masters Degree from Whitworth College in 1978. She completed her AAMFT Clinical Post Graduate Training in Marriage and Family Therapy through the Presbyterian Counseling Service. Brenda believes that people have an inherent capacity to better understand the problems they face, and in the safe container of the therapy room can identify and implement actions that will resolve their dilemmas, opening pathways to a more fulfilling life. Her holistic approach to therapy will be collaboratively customized to suit the particular needs of individuals or couples.

Areas of Expertise: Brenda's expertise, training and experience comes from a variety of theoretical modalities, including family systems therapy, and family-of-origin/ developmental approaches, cognitive-behavioral, experiential, guided meditation, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and group therapy.
