Personal Information and Therapy Style: Penelope has been a therapist with Lutheran Counseling Network since 1993 and has been in practice since 1978. The approach to therapy will vary according to the differing needs of particular clients, individual or couple. She brings clinical experience and training in a variety of theoretical orientations, including psychodynamic, systems, cognitive/behavioral, and spiritual, as a resource for you as you seek to change or grow. Working with Penelope, a client will identify and seek to understand the issues faced so that goals for therapy can be set. Besides being a licensed mental health counselor, Penelope is also an ordained Lutheran minister and is trained to work with people on issues of spirituality, within their faith framework.

Areas of Expertise: Penelope works with individual adults and couples in the following areas: depression, anxiety, healing from sexual abuse and other trauma, issues of intimacy, discord in relationships, blending families, pain from divorce, issues of grief. Penelope also has a specialty in the area of clergy or professional sexual misconduct, working with survivors, spouses of clergy, congregations and judicatories.
