Personal Information and Therapy Style: Beth has been a therapist with Lutheran Counseling Network since 1981. Her original training was in cognitive-behavioral therapy and she now works in a variety of ways that includes methods from family systems, developmental psychology, emotionally focused therapy, pastoral counseling, solution-focused therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Beth’s approach is to join with her clients to help them increase awareness of feelings that are interfering with their quality of life and to deal with those feelings more effectively. She believes in a holistic approach to health that looks at body, mind and spirit.

Areas of Expertise: Beth works with individual adults, pre-adolescents and adolescents; couples; and families in the following areas: depression, anxiety, healing from sexual abuse and other trauma, issues of intimacy, discord in relationships, blending families, pain from divorce, issues of grief.
