Personal Information and Therapy Style
Are you feeling stuck? It happens to all of us. Whether in your work life, family relationships, intimate partner relationships, or the overall direction of your life, you are not alone if you feel trapped in ways of living and relating that don’t seem to get you anywhere, and don’t match your vision of how you want to live and interact with others.
That’s where therapy comes in. Working together, we can look at the life you want to live, and how patterns of thinking and relating can get in the way of what you want for yourself. In an atmosphere of safety and support, you will build on your own wisdom, hopes, dreams, and ideals, and begin living the life you want to live.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, including children, teens, adults, families and couples. I am experienced in dealing with a variety of issues, including but not limited to: grief and loss, life transitions, feelings of anxiety and depression, distance or conflict in your family or couple, developing your own identity, working through trauma, school difficulties, behavior problems, and parenting difficulties. I enjoy working with clients from a variety of backgrounds and worldviews.
I earned my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I am married with two teenage boys, and have 20-plus years of experience in teaching and ministry with children, youth and families.
