Personal Information and Therapy Style Jean Eakins, LMFT works with individuals, couples, youth,and families in therapy. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Washington State (#LF918), and a clinical member and approved supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. She has a Master of Theological Studies from The Franciscan School of Theology at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA and a post-graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Presbyterian Counseling Service. Jean's approach to therapy will vary according to the different needs of the particular client. Jean sees life as a journey, with links or connections to other people and systems. She utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and a positive adaptation called Lifespan Integration. Jean balances support and challenge so clients can achieve their goals.

Area of Expertise Casey works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families at all stages of the family life cycle. She is experienced in addressing a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting, premarital counseling, healing from divorce, and grief/loss. She is a Washington State Approved Supervisor and a Level II trained EMDR therapist.
Casey’s theoretical orientation is primarily systemic, incorporating a variety of different modalities including Experiential family therapy, art/play therapy techniques, and cognitive-behavioral interventions.

Areas of Expertise Karen works primarily with individual adults and couples, but also works with children, adolescents and families. She is comfortable working with a wide range of issues, including relationship concerns, anxiety/stress issues, depression, work conflicts, trauma experiences (recent or childhood), grief and loss, and spiritual struggles.
Personal Information and Therapy Style Karen has been in clinical practice since 1991, and with Lutheran Counseling Network since 1997. She received her Masters’ and Ph.D. in Marital and Family Therapy from the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, and also holds a Masters’ in Christian Leadership from that school. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marital and Family Therapy (AAMFT) as well as the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS).
Her approach to therapy varies according to the needs of each client, and may include methods from family systems theory, family-of-origin-based/developmental approaches, as well as solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral methods. Karen views the therapeutic process as a journey, and considers it a privilege to participate with her clients as a partner on that journey.
