Janet Cederberg received her M.A. in Systems Counseling at LIOS Graduate College of Saybrook University in 2012. She is licensed as an LMHC and is rostered in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as a Deacon. Her vocational call for 27 years to work with children, youth, and families in the ELCA and in para-church settings has helped to prepare her for an additional call as a psychotherapist.

Janet is currently an in-network provider on the following insurance panels: Regence, Premera, First Choice, Aetna, and most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. She is also able to accept insurance as an out-of-network provider. Please inquire if you have questions regarding use of your medical insurance plan.

Areas of Expertise and Therapy Style

Janet addresses a variety of difficulties in therapy including depression, life transitions, grief and loss, anger, stress, anxiety, issues of intimacy, PTSD, domestic violence, cultural identity, and provides support related to gender/sexual identity. Janet enjoys working with children, youth, adults, couples and families exploring intrapersonal and interpersonal struggles, systemic and family dynamics, and issues of faith.

Janet works from a client-centered, systemic, and attachment based therapeutic approach. She holds the belief that healing is engaged through relationship. She considers it an honor to experience the graciousness, healing, and reconciliation that can happen in therapeutic relationships and in the therapeutic setting.
